Thankful

What Can I Be Thankful For?
Sun and moonlight to light my days.
The lovely twilight with purple haze.
Comforts that others may not possess,
At the end of the day, a loved one's caress.
Peace that only God can give.
Strength renewed so that I might live.
A warm bed and pillow to lay my head.
A plate always full and a heart well-fed.
With friends and family and love to spare,
And when extending a reach, a hand that's there.
Thanks for today, because it arrived...
and for the troubles now past, that I have survived.
For those whom I hold most dear to my heart,
and blessings that come of which they are part.
Tender moments that come, even when they are few-
Time spent with friends, which of course includes you.
Thanks for this country in which we do live
That says it's not better to receive but to give.
And for the freedoms that come at such great a cost,
And prayers freely said - that it would never be lost.
I am thankful as I look, and I sense, and I see,
Small and large blessings, what ere' they be.
I can feel warmth, when there's nothing but cold.
I can see beauty from ashes that transform into gold.
What in all the world over, may I be thankful for?
God's goodness to me -
Is there anything more?

May God bless you this day.
And may you always find in every
moment of every day, something that can make you stop
and say...... thankyou.
