In the winter of 2005, the employment rate fell drastically for the feline furries. Because of all the intelligent mice moving south to winter in Texas, there was no demand for Mice Catchers. As a result of such a move, many poor cats became homeless. (The rate has risen for homo sapiens also.)

A homeless shelter was formed in Boxholm, Iowa; known as the "Cats Meow". There was plenty of food and water, a boat to go fishing....(as all cats love fish!), and electric heating pads to lay on. One day, Bob C. Tail(C. stands for Cutter), and Ms. Priscilla Black were in the boat fishing. As they had been residents of the "Cats Meow" for some time, and had gotten to know each other quite well;
Bob C.Tail finally got his fur up enough to ask Ms. Priscilla for her paw. She was purring with contentment. They were married in Boxholm, Iowa. Pastor P.E.Opossum presided over the ceremony. What a purr-fect wedding! There were litter-ly fifty feline fellows, who attended the wedding!! Music was played by the "Black Wrapper". Of all the songs played; the two most popular were; "Cat Footin Around" and "Nine Lives"

As time passed, Mr. & Mrs. Bob C. Tail decided it was time to start a family. But, due to being unemployed, they didn't know how they were going to find a place for the children when they arrived. The owner of "The Rough Cut", Mr. Tom T. Tall, heard of their dilemma. He immediately set about to construct a cat house for them. A lot of "de-tail" went into the project. It will be finished in time for the new kittens.

The news is that the kitties will be baptized in the old fashioned way.....in the river.*(no, no, no... not THAT kind of baptism!!)

So, as you can see.....a community that pulls together....will never see the fur fly!!!!! The end...(a short end, according to Bob C. Tail)....of a Purr-fect story!
