Hello!
It's really nice to meet you! I'm the Owner/Editor of Writer's Block Community and The WordSmith web site, and I hope that you'll soon join us with your writing talents.
I like to write and have been doing so since I was pretty young. It seems I've always had something to say, even when no one wanted to listen! Ha!
I live in a small rural community that may just have about 200 people in it (or there abouts), down by the river. I am blessed with an understanding husband of almost 38 years now, and two sons that I love dearly.
I also have been blessed with a cursed illness for the last 30 years that is as mysterious today as it was back then called, Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction, otherwise known as CFIDS.
I say that I am blessed with it because I have met some really wonderful people through the years because they too suffer this and or related immune dysfunction illnesses.
Some have become dear, dear friends. It is really because of the illness that I am even here today, tapping out words on web pages for others to read. Otherwise, I'm certain I'd be off having another life doing other things, and I would not have had the opportunities that being 'tied down' with illness has offered.
I have, in the last five years...owned and maintained a support community for those who suffer these illnesses and also a Grief and Loss Community. As of March 31st of (2006), I closed both of those communites and now have this one interactive writing community and the new web site.
